This is 1/3 mi east of Tramway on Central/old Rte 66, first megachurch on the right. Be ready to hammer and jump on a wheel as they pass by. The reaper waits for no one. Contact: Craig Denman cdenman@comcast.net 505-306-1301 or Blue Soros bsoroos@hotmail.com. It started as a training ride for Kirtland employees, and it still is. The lab folks, "the reapers," leave the Eubank gate at 11:50AM and meet everyone else, "the greeters," on Rte 66 at 12:05.

ZiaVelo Cycling (ziavelocycling.com) has an organized group ride every Saturday, all year long. Ride is approximately 50-70+ miles in length, with options to return to the start location at Milagro Coffee Y Espresso (1733 E University Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001, across from the NMSU Pan American Center) at any time. Departure time is 0800 between Labor Day and Memorial Day (Cooler months), and 0700 from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This is a NO DROP ride: a member of ZVC will ensure we wait for anyone continuing on the ride. Pace varies depending on time of the year but is generally faster during the summer months. Ride size varies from 15-40 riders, depending on temperature and winds.  🙂  All riders are welcome.  See ZiaVelo Google Groups page for more info.

The ZiaVelo Cycling "Heater" is a race paced and race tactic ride that is held every Wednesday during the Daylight Savings Time period. Departure time begins in March at 5PM. The departure time transitions to start at 6PM after Memorial Day, and continues to depart at that time all summer as things heat up. Labor Day weekend the start rolls back to 5:30PM. Departure is normally from the Spotted Dog Brewery in Old Mesilla. Occasionally we will change the start location and course, this is posted on the ZiaVelo Google Groups page. This is a DROP ride!

Jemez Honeys organizes some no-drop, mostly ladies, weekly road rides.

Santa Fe
The Santa Fe Road Riders have two weekend rides around Santa Fe. The A-group (faster paced but a no-drop, regroup-often ride) typically rides on Saturday while the B-group rides on Sundays. Rides are announced by mid-day Friday for both groups via their Yahoo email list as well as on their Facebook page. The route varies from week to week to keep things interesting.

The RA Racing Apparel/BMC team is now running Sat/Sun training rides that start from Mellow Velo at 132 E. Marcy St in Santa Fe.
9AM departure (maybe 8am in summer). All are welcome, however the rides are not 'no drop' rides, there will be some regrouping points or short cuts to take. They tend to be fast-paced (18mph or more average) and slower riders will get dropped. The routes are just over 50 miles and there is usually one stop mid-way through. Since the rides are always the same there is no announcement beforehand. The Saturday ride is known as the "Prison Loop". The Sunday ride is the reverse Galisteo loop, the reverse direction of the Santa Fe Century 50-mile route. For updated information call Mellow Velo at (505) 995-3823.
